Dear ladies and gentlemen, colleagues and friends,
it is my sad duty to inform you about the loss of our Honorary President, Mr. Univ.-Prof. Dr. Michael Höllwarth, who died on March 12, 2024.
The Austrian Society of Paediatric and Adolescent Surgery will miss a highly valued personality, who dedicated all his life to the well-being of his patients and who led our discipline with vision and excellence into a better future.
As a surgeon and scientist his achievements have been recognized by numerous national and international honors from all well-known peer societies.
For ever we will keep Michael Höllwarth in an honorable memory.
